Habarana Village by Cinnamon ★★★★

My partner and I visited Sri Lanka for two weeks, and we stayed 5 nights in Habarana Village by Cinnamon. We loved our permanence there, everything was above our expectations, and it was a good value for money. The rooms are in a gorgeous park, and ours had also a beautiful lake view. The swimming pool was the perfect place to relax after a day of visits. We also enjoyed the tasty breakfast and dinner. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the staff is very kind and helpful. In particular, we want to thank Indunil, Chamal, Sunil, Sisira and Perera.

Nice clean rooms and wonderful staff. Food is also top-notch. Above all garden is so beautiful with lakefront views.

My lodge was right next to staff area and there was always piles of black sacks of trash close by. Spoilt the ambiance when sitting on terrace.

The hotel has an excellent team - specially at the restaurant, headed by a very able manager. Food was tasty.

The room was a little far & at night it was difficult to get there with poor illumination & less signage. The AC would be better , if room was fitted with a higher capacity AC.

The room was very spacious and modern. The area is very serene. Dinner and breakfast was great and tasty. staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location of this hotel is very convenient.

Good location. Comfortable and clean. Nice pool. Lovely view of the lake. Loved sitting on the verandah in the evenings. Very peaceful and breezy. Very helpful staff. In particular the front of house manager Kalhari was exceptionally helpful, friendly and accommodating.

The greatest asset of this hotel is its friendly staff, at all levels. They all took every possible step to make your stay a comfortable one. Rooms were clean and spacious. Excellent choice of food! We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner with both local and western dishes. Beautiful garden and plenty of space for relaxing, including evening walks which we really enjoyed. The pool too is very nice.

This is the second time we have been here and both times have been wonderful experiences. This time we booked 3 rooms as we had 6 adults and 1 child. Location is fantastic. Habarana/Sigiriya are some of my favourite areas of Sri Lanka due to the unique environment and history. Lots of things to explore around the hotel facilities as well, so staying at the hotel feels like a holiday itself. Buffet meals are very good. Love the layout of the rooms. Good pool facilities. Nice live music at night definitely adds to the ambience.

Having to give IDs of all guests in our group was a bit annoying but I'm guessing it's due to tightening of security measures due to recent events. Rooms weren't ready till about 4.30pm due to previous guests checking out late. Rooms don't seem to be sound proof - can hear noises from outside when in the room.

We booked Habarana Village for a immediate family getaway. Everyone loved the setting within the nature not harming any trees or wildlife in the surrounding. Kids enjoyed running around, going up to tree houses. The breakfast was delicious, pool was nice and the semi detached cottage rooms were very cosy. We loved the overall experience.

The room was clean and spacious, with all the facilities one needs.

the room was a bit dark, but then again you don't come to this location to stay in the room during the day.

Village setup

the gardens and surroundings poorly maintained and it looked absolutely dry. May be the season contrubuted to its dryness as well but hotel also could have maintained it well

The environment was well maintained. Food got wide varieties. Room was super comfortable. Quality of the tangible aspects were super good. Availability of the beverages was good.

Staff was given less attention to the local guests. I was ignored starting from the GM to Gardner. All the staff should knows, we as an industry recovering up to a certain level after the Easter Sunday attack thanks to the local guests like us. Higher attention was given to the foreigners which is a clear indication for taste for money. For an example, when we were checking out GM was super busy with saying bye to a Chinese group and not a single hotel staff was noticed we are walking away with our luggage. For an example, F&B manager was assuming we were just back packers who is highly money oriented and ignored the questions I have asked about the menu and other availability. Remember, we observe you all. I would like to recommend, starting from GM to minor staff member to have the same courtesy to each guests who visit the property no matter what they wear and what they carry. Ultimately single dissatisfaction can lead to a huge disaster specially from social media influencers and travel bloggers like us. Maintain the CINNAMON quality or else, leave it to a capable staff. At least security personals were good on us though they belongs to another company. Other than this, all other were excellent as usual.

Great place with a lake view. Unfortunately it was dry season so the lake was abit dry but great nevertheless. Good staff. Takes good care of the customers. Especially the lady at the reception.

The staff were great! They almost bent over backwards to go out of the way to help you.

There were a lot of little ants in the bathroom. But, you are out in nature, and it's probably hard to stop them all from coming in.
